Job Summary

We are looking for experienced US Mortgage Underwriters with 3+ years of relevant experience in US residential mortgage underwriting. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of US mortgage guidelines, credit assessment, income calculation, and loan documentation.

Key Responsibilities
Underwrite US residential mortgage loan applications.
Review and analyze borrower credit, income, assets, liabilities, and employment.
Evaluate loan documentation including credit reports, bank statements, tax returns, pay stubs, and other financial documents.
Assess borrower eligibility as per US mortgage and investor guidelines.
Identify risks, discrepancies, and potential fraud indicators.
Make appropriate underwriting decisions and issue loan conditions.
Ensure compliance with applicable US mortgage guidelines and requirements.
Work closely with processors, loan officers, QC teams, and other stakeholders.
Meet defined productivity, quality, and turnaround-time targets.

Required Skills & Experience




3+ years of hands-on experience in US Mortgage Underwriting is mandatory.
Strong understanding of US mortgage underwriting processes and guidelines.
Experience with Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA or other US mortgage products is preferred.
Good knowledge of DTI, LTV/CLTV, credit analysis, income calculation, assets and liabilities.
Robust analytical and decision-making skills.
Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
Good communication skills.

3+ years of relevant US Mortgage Underwriting experience mandatory.
Candidates currently outside Mumbai who are willing to relocate are welcome.
Relocation assistance up to ₹50,000 will be provided to eligible candidates.
Candidates must be comfortable working in US shifts/night shifts as per business requirements.
