Post-Silicon Validation Engineer

Key Responsibilities
Perform post-silicon validation and testing of semiconductor devices, SoCs, ASICs, and embedded hardware platforms.
Develop and execute validation test plans, test cases, and test procedures.
Perform functional, system-level, performance, power, and reliability validation.
Support silicon bring-up and board bring-up activities.
Debug hardware, firmware, and system-level issues using appropriate debugging techniques and tools.
Analyze test failures, logs, traces, and validation data to identify root causes.
Work closely with Design, RTL, Firmware, Software, Hardware, Product Engineering, and Test Engineering teams to resolve issues.
Perform characterization and validation across different operating conditions and configurations.
Document test results, defects, root-cause analysis, and validation reports.
Support regression testing and automation of repetitive validation activities.
Track issues through closure and communicate status to relevant stakeholders.
Contribute to improving test coverage, validation methodologies,



and overall product quality.

Required Technical Skills
25 years of experience in Post-Silicon Validation, Silicon Validation, Hardware Validation, Semiconductor Testing, or Embedded Hardware Testing.
Good understanding of SoC, ASIC, IC, semiconductor, or embedded hardware architecture.
Experience with hardware/system-level testing and debugging.
Experience in board bring-up and silicon bring-up is preferred.
Hands-on experience with debugging tools such as:
JTAG
Oscilloscope
Logic Analyzer
Multimeter / DMM
GDB or similar debugging tools
Good understanding of embedded systems and firmware interaction with hardware.
Programming/scripting knowledge in C/C++ and/or Python.
Positive understanding of Linux/embedded Linux environments is an advantage.
Solid analytical and troubleshooting skills.

ATE / Automated Testing – Preferred

Candidates with exposure to Automated Test Equipment (ATE) will be preferred.
