Role Description The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) / Medical Officer (MO) will oversee the healthcare services and clinical operations of the university’s medical facilities on campus in Solan. This full time, in office role includes providing primary medical care to students, faculty, and staff; conducting outpatient consultations; managing emergencies; and ensuring timely referrals to external hospitals when required. The role involves supervising clinical protocols, maintaining medical records, monitoring infection control and public health measures, and ensuring compliance with relevant medical regulations and standards. The CMO/MO will collaborate with university leadership on health policies, wellness initiatives, and preventive care programs, and may coordinate medical awareness campaigns, health check-ups, and training for non-medical staff in basic health and safety practices.

Qualifications
Strong foundation in clinical Medicine, with experience in general practice, emergency care, and student health services.
Expertise in Utilization Management to optimize medical resources,



ensure cost-effective care, and maintain quality outcomes.
Experience in Medical Affairs, including clinical governance, protocol development, and compliance with ethical and regulatory standards.
Knowledge of Managed Care systems, health insurance processes, and coordination with external healthcare providers.
Ability in Strategic Planning for campus health services, preventive care programs, and long-term healthcare initiatives.
Recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from an accredited institution; postgraduate qualification in a clinical specialty or hospital administration is desirable.
Valid registration with the appropriate Medical Council and eligibility to practice in India.
Proven ability to work collaboratively with academic and administrative teams, with robust communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
