Role & responsibilities
Litigation & Representation: Represent the organization/clients before District Courts, High Courts, Tribunals , and other regulatory authorities.
Drafting & Vetting: Prepare, review, and vet plaints, written statements, appeals, writs, legal notices, contracts, and commercial agreements.
Legal Research: Conduct thorough research on case laws, statutes, and regulatory changes to build strong legal strategies.
Advisory & Compliance: Provide proactive legal advice to management on risk mitigation, labor laws, corporate governance, and contract enforcement.
Case Management: Maintain case files, track court dates, coordinate with senior counsels, and prepare detailed brief updates.
Preferred candidate profile
Core Experience: Must have a proven track record of handling both independent litigation and commercial drafting in a fast-paced setting.
Courtroom & Tribunal Presence: Prior experience actively presenting cases and appearing before District Courts, High Courts,
and specialized Tribunals (like NCLT, DRT, or NGT) is highly preferred.
Drafting Expertise: Superior skills in drafting comprehensive legal documents, including plaints, writs, commercial contracts, and formal legal notices without needing constant supervision.
Research Mastery: Advanced proficiency using online legal databases such as SCC Online, Manupatra, or Westlaw to find complex case laws and statutes.
Compliance Knowledge: Sound understanding of corporate governance, labor laws, and risk management to provide strategic advice to the management team.
Work Ethic: Solid organizational skills to manage multiple court timelines, coordinate smoothly with senior counsels, and maintain impeccable case files.
