Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in mechanical design and development using SolidWorks.
Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modelling, assembly creation, and 2D drafting.
Knowledge of sheet metal design, fabrication practices, and manufacturing processes.
Positive understanding of welding, bending, machining, cutting, and general fabrication techniques.
Familiarity with GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), dimensional tolerances, and standard engineering drawing practices.
Ability to prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOMs), engineering documentation, and drawing revision records.
Basic knowledge of structural design principles, load calculations, and mechanical strength considerations.
Sound understanding of engineering materials, including Mild Steel (MS), Stainless Steel (SS), Aluminium,



and sandwich/insulated panels.
Ability to interpret customer specifications, technical drawings, and project requirements, and translate them into manufacturable design solutions.
Coordinate with production, fabrication, and quality teams to ensure design compliance and smooth execution of projects.
Robust analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in enclosure, shelter, cabinet, or structural fabrication design.
Knowledge of manufacturing standards and design-for-manufacturing (DFM) principles.

Familiarity with ERP systems and engineering change management processes will be an added advantage.
