Chemotherapy Infusion Nurse Job Description

Job Responsibilities
Assess patients before chemotherapy/infusion treatment.
Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other prescribed IV medications safely.
Monitor patients during and after infusion for any reactions or side effects.
Manage IV cannulation, ports, and infusion pumps.
Follow chemotherapy safety and infection-control procedures.
Provide basic education to patients and their attendants regarding treatment and side effects.
Maintain accurate patient records and nursing documentation.
Report any abnormal findings or complications to the doctor.
Maintain a clean, secure, and organized infusion area.
Work closely with doctors, pharmacists, and other healthcare staff.

Qualification
GNM / B.Sc. Nursing.
Valid nursing registration.
BLS certification preferred.
Previous oncology/chemotherapy infusion experience preferred.

Skills
Valuable clinical and communication skills.
Knowledge of IV infusion and chemotherapy protocols.
Patient-friendly and compassionate approach.
Ability to handle emergencies and work in a team.
