HANA Cloud Developer (BDC Upskilling Program)

Role Summary
Seeking professionals to upskill on SAP HANA Cloud with a solid focus on data modeling, SQL scripting, and cloud-native development. The role involves designing performant data models, developing database artifacts, and supporting analytics and application workloads on SAP HANA Cloud.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain SAP HANA Cloud data models including Calculation Views, Dimensions, and Analytical Models.
Create and optimize SQLScript procedures, functions, and database objects.
Design data transformation and integration logic using HANA Cloud capabilities.
Implement performance tuning, query optimization, and data quality best practices.
Work with business and technical teams to translate requirements into scalable data models.
Support deployment and lifecycle management using SAP Business Application Studio and Git-based workflows.
Adhere to cloud security, governance, and data management standards.

Required Skills
Understanding of SAP HANA Cloud architecture and database concepts.
Hands-on experience in Data Modeling (Calculation Views, Star Schema, Dimensional Modeling).
Proficiency in SQL and SQLScript development.
Knowledge of performance optimization, debugging,



and troubleshooting techniques.
Familiarity with SAP BTP, HDI Containers, and cloud development concepts.
Solid analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills
SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) certification and/or hands-on implementation experience preferred.
Exposure to SAP Datasphere, SAP BW/4HANA, or SAP Data Intelligence.
Experience with data integration, ETL processes, and reporting tools.
Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and version control practices.
Experience working with Hyperscalers (Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform) and knowledge of cloud integration patterns is desirable not mandatory.
Familiarity with integrating SAP solutions with hyperscaler-native services for data, analytics, security, and application development is an advantage.

Upskilling Outcome Participants will gain practical expertise in SAP HANA Cloud data modeling, advanced SQL Script development, performance optimization, cloud-native database application development, and integration with SAP Business Data Cloud and Hyperscalers ecosystems.
