Sales Manager Food Processing & Seafood Industry (Chemicals Division)

About the Role

The position is focused on driving sales of industrial chemicals such as STPP (Sodium Tripolyphosphate), phosphates, preservatives, binders, and food-grade additives to seafood processors and frozen food manufacturers. The candidate will be responsible for developing existing accounts, identifying recent business opportunities, and building long-term customer relationships in the processed food and seafood packaging sector.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and develop business opportunities in seafood processing units, frozen food plants, and food packaging industries.

Promote and sell products such as STPP, phosphates, emulsifiers, preservatives, and related industrial chemicals.

Conduct product presentations, trials, and technical discussions with procurement teams, production heads, and R&D; departments.

Maintain solid relationships with existing customers to ensure repeat business and account growth.

Monitor competitor activity, market pricing trends, and industry developments.

Coordinate with logistics, accounts, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment.

Prepare regular sales reports, customer visit summaries,



and market intelligence updates.

Attend relevant exhibitions, trade fairs, and industry networking events.

Support customers with technical information, COA documentation, and compliance requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or Business (preferred).

25 years of experience in B2B industrial chemical sales, preferably in the food processing or seafood industry.

Solid technical understanding of food-grade chemicals and their applications (STPP knowledge preferred).

Proven negotiation, communication, and account management skills.

Ability to travel regularly within assigned regions.

Strong problem-solving attitude and customer-first mindset.

Preferred Attributes

Existing network or customer base in seafood processing or frozen food manufacturing.

Familiarity with food regulatory standards (FSSAI, FDA, EU Standards, HACCP).

Ability to conduct technical demonstrations and support customer trials.
