Job Summary

The QS & Planning Manager is responsible for managing project planning, scheduling, cost estimation, quantity surveying, budgeting, contract administration, and project cost control. The role ensures that projects are executed within approved budgets, timelines, and contractual requirements while maintaining quality standards and profitability.

Key ResponsibilitiesQuantity Surveying & Cost Management
Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
Review project drawings and specifications for quantity estimation.
Prepare cost estimates, project budgets, and cost plans.
Monitor project costs and identify cost-saving prospects.
Verify contractor bills, vendor invoices, and subcontractor claims.
Conduct rate analysis and cost benchmarking for construction activities.
Prepare variation orders, change orders, and additional work claims.





Project Planning & Scheduling
Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6/MS Project.
Prepare baseline schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), and project milestones.
Monitor project progress and update schedules regularly.
Analyze project delays and recommend corrective actions.
Prepare recovery plans to mitigate schedule slippages.
Coordinate with project teams to ensure adherence to timelines.

Contract Administration
Review contracts, work orders, and tender documents.
Manage contractual correspondence and claims.
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project specifications.
Support tendering, bid evaluation, and contractor selection processes.
Monitor contract performance and project deliverables.

Project Monitoring & Reporting
Prepare weekly and monthly project progress reports.
Track project costs, productivity, and resource utilization.
