Job Title: Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Engineer – L3
Role Overview
The L3 Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, supporting, and optimizing enterprise Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environments. This role focuses on resolving complex cloud and networking issues, deploying current OCI solutions, and ensuring secure, scalable, resilient, and highly available cloud platforms.
As a technical leader, the engineer will provide guidance to L1 and L2 support teams, drive automation and operational excellence, and collaborate closely with architects, security teams, application teams, and customers to deliver reliable, business-aligned cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex OCI platform and cloud networking issues within enterprise environments.
Design and implement enterprise cloud networking solutions using OCI networking services.
Manage and optimize OCI networking components, including:
Virtual Cloud Networks (VCN)
Agile Routing Gateway (DRG)
FastConnect
IPSec VPN
Load Balancers
DNS
Network Security Groups (NSG)
Security Lists
Implement and maintain OCI security and governance best practices, including:
Identity and Access Management (IAM)
Cloud Guard
Security Zones
Compliance and governance frameworks
Lead cloud migration, modernization, and infrastructure transformation initiatives.
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and automation tools.
Create automation scripts and implement DevOps best practices to streamline cloud provisioning and operations.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA), problem management, and continuous service improvement activities.
Monitor, tune, and optimize cloud performance, capacity, availability, disaster recovery, backup, and cost management.
