nWe are looking for an experienced DB2 DBA (z/OS) to manage and support enterprise-grade database environments. The ideal candidate should have robust expertise in DB2 administration, performance tuning, high availability, disaster recovery, and database infrastructure management.
nKey Responsibilities:
nInstall, configure, and maintain DB2 databases on z/OS.
nManage database infrastructure, including instances, partitions, and clusters.
nDesign and implement High Availability and Disaster Recovery (HADR) solutions, clustering, and replication.
nPerform database upgrades, fix packs, patch management, and version migrations.
nMonitor database performance and optimize system resources for maximum efficiency.
nManage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
nTroubleshoot complex database and system-level issues, performing root cause analysis.
nOptimize memory, CPU, I/O, storage, and database configurations.
nCollaborate with infrastructure teams for capacity planning and hardware sizing.




nAutomate DBA activities using scripting tools such as Shell, Python, or Perl.
nImplement and maintain database security, including authentication, authorization, and auditing.
nSupport production environments and participate in on-call support as required.
nMaintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and best practices.
