Role Description The Head of Research and Development Cell is a full time, on-site role based at SAM Global University’s campus in Bhopal. This role oversees the strategic planning, implementation, and monitoring of research and innovation activities across multiple disciplines. The Head will establish and manage research policies, promote interdisciplinary projects, facilitate collaborations with industry and academic partners, and support faculty and students in obtaining research grants and publishing work.

Daily responsibilities include guiding proposal development, organizing research seminars and workshops,



ensuring ethical and regulatory compliance, and maintaining documentation and reporting of all R&D; initiatives. The role also involves mentoring research teams, fostering a culture of inquiry and innovation, and contributing to the university’s long-term research roadmap.

Qualifications

- Advanced academic qualifications (preferably Ph.D.) in a relevant discipline such as Science, Engineering, Management, Social Sciences, or related fields.
- Demonstrated experience in leading research, innovation, or R&D; initiatives within a university or research organization.
- Strong skills in research design, proposal writing, grant acquisition, and publication in recognized journals.
- Ability to build and manage collaborations with industry partners, funding agencies, and national or international academic institutions.
- Proficiency in project management, strategic planning, data analysis, and reporting for multi-disciplinary research programs.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills to guide faculty members, researchers, and students.
- Familiarity with research ethics, regulatory compliance, intellectual property, and technology transfer processes.
- Comfort with digital tools and platforms for research management, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
- Prior experience setting up or managing research centers, innovation cells, or incubation programs is an advantage.
