Job Description:

Position: Head/Sr. Manager - NPD

Location: Wada - Mumbai

Experience: 12 - 18 Years

Industries: Engineering

Responsibilities:
Lead Current Product Development (NPD) activities for fasteners from RFQ to production handover.
Review customer requirements, drawings and specifications and conduct technical feasibility.
Prepare product costing, process costing and commercial feasibility for current projects.
Lead product design, process development, tooling and prototype development.
Coordinate Tool Development/Tooling activities for dies, fixtures, gauges and related tools.
Manage prototype trials, testing, validation and performance evaluation.
Drive APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, MSA and related NPD documentation.
Coordinate with customers/OEMs for technical discussions, drawings, specifications and approvals.
Lead cross-functional teams across Design, Tool Room, Production, Quality and Purchase.
Ensure successful industrialisation and smooth new product transfer to production.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction,



process improvement and product optimisation.
Monitor NPD timelines, project milestones, trials and customer approval status.
Resolve technical issues during development, prototype and pre-production stages.
Ensure new products meet quality, cost, delivery and customer requirements.
Mentor and guide the NPD/Development team and drive project ownership
