Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior UX Designer – Automotive HMI to craft intuitive, visually rich, and future-ready in-vehicle experiences. This role focuses on designing HMI applications for Infotainment Systems (IVI), blending usability with immersive design through animations, 3D assets, and advanced prototyping techniques.

You will play a key role in shaping next-generation cockpit experiences by collaborating with cross-functional teams across engineering, product, and design.

Key Responsibilities
Design user-centric, safety-compliant, and distraction-minimized interfaces for in-vehicle environments
Create high-fidelity UI/UX designs using Figma (Design, Prototype, Dev Mode, and Design Systems)
Develop micro-interactions and motion design to enhance usability and delight
Conceptualize and integrate 3D models and immersive visual elements into UI experiences
Build interactive prototypes to simulate real-world IVI interactions and workflows
Collaborate with HMI engineers, Unreal/Unity developers, and embedded teams for implementation feasibility




Define and maintain design systems, component libraries, and UX guidelines
Conduct user research, usability testing, and iterative design improvements
Ensure compliance with automotive standards (driver distraction, accessibility, safety)

Required Skills & Expertise

Core UX & HMI Skills
Solid experience in Automotive HMI / IVI UX design
Deep understanding of in-vehicle interaction paradigms (touch, voice, gesture, rotary controllers)
Expertise in information architecture, interaction design, and usability principles

Design & Prototyping Tools
Advanced proficiency in Figma:
Design Systems
Prototyping
Dev Mode handoff
Variables & components
Valuable to have experience with Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop)

Motion & 3D Capabilities
Robust experience in motion design and UI animations
Familiarity with 3D modelling tools (Blender, Maya, or similar)
