Job Description: Senior Accountant – Taxation & Accounts Finalization

Position: Senior Accountant – Taxation

Department: Accounts & Finance

Reporting To: Finance Manager / Head – Accounts

Location: Mohd Ali Road (Mumbai)

Key Responsibilities

Direct Taxation

Preparation, computation, and filing of Income Tax Returns for companies, LLPs, firms, and individuals.

Handling advance tax calculations, self-assessment tax, and TDS/TCS compliance.

Finalization of tax audit (Form 3CD) and coordination with statutory auditors.

Responding to Income Tax notices, scrutiny assessments, rectifications, and appeals.

Monitoring compliance with provisions of the Income Tax Act, including amendments.

Indirect Taxation (GST)

End-to-end handling of GST compliance including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-2B reconciliation, GSTR-9 & 9C.

Monthly reconciliation of GST input credit with books and portal data.

Handling GST audits, assessments, and departmental notices.

Ensuring correct classification, valuation, and applicability of GST on transactions.





Advising management on GST implications and cost optimization.

Accounting & Accounts Finalization

Finalization of books of accounts (monthly, quarterly, and annual).

Preparation of balance sheet, P&L;, schedules, and notes to accounts.

Solid working knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) / Accounting Standards.

Review and control of GL scrutiny, provisions, accruals, and depreciation.

Finalization support for statutory audit, internal audit, and tax audit.

Statutory & Compliance

Compliance with ROC filings, PF, ESIC, Qualified Tax, and other statutory requirements.

Coordination with auditors, consultants, banks, and tax authorities.

Maintaining proper documentation and compliance records.

Systems & Process Control

Hands-on experience with accounting systems.

Ensuring accuracy in accounting entries and adherence to internal controls.
