Sales Officer – Contemporary Trade (MT)

Job Summary :

We are hiring a Sales Officer – Modern Trade (MT) for a leading FMCG brand. The role involves driving sales growth across assigned up-to-date trade accounts, ensuring strong in-store execution, maintaining customer relationships, and achieving business targets.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience managing modern trade accounts and working with leading retail chains.

Key Responsibilities
Handle assigned Modern Trade accounts like Reliance, D-Mart, Lulu, More, Metro etc.
Achieve monthly sales targets.
Ensure product visibility, merchandising and stock availability.
Coordinate with distributors for replenishment.
Execute promotions and recent launches.
Build relationships with store managers and category teams.
Monitor competitor activities.
Submit daily and monthly sales reports.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline
3–4 years of experience in FMCG Modern Trade sales




Strong understanding of modern trade operations and retail execution
Experience handling major MT retail chains is preferred
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
Good analytical and reporting skills
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
Self-motivated and target-oriented approach

Additional Requirements
Must possess a two-wheeler and a valid driving license
Proficiency in English and the local language is required

Preferred Skills
Experience in key account handling
Knowledge of merchandising and promotional planning
Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts
