NIPS Institute of Hotel Management, Kolkata is looking for an experienced and passionate Food & Beverage Service Faculty / Instructor to join its academic team.

We are looking for a hospitality professional who combines strong industry knowledge with practical teaching ability and can train students to meet qualified hotel and restaurant service standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct theory and practical classes in Food & Beverage Service for Degree, Diploma and Certificate students.
- Provide hands-on training in restaurant service, fine dining, banquet operations, bar operations and beverage service.
- Train students in different styles of service, table setting, mise-en-place, order taking, menu knowledge and guest handling.
- Teach wine, spirits, beer, cocktails, mocktails and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Conduct practical sessions in bartending, cocktail and mocktail preparation.
- Develop students' service etiquette, grooming, communication and professional hospitality standards.
- Train students for interviews, practical examinations, competitions and industry placements.
- Prepare lesson plans, practical schedules, assignments and assessments and maintain required academic records.
- Regularly assess students' practical skills and provide constructive feedback for improvement.




- Maintain proper inventory and ensure effective utilisation of restaurant, bar and other F&B; training resources.
- Ensure high standards of hygiene, safety, discipline and professional conduct during practical sessions.

- Candidate Profile

- Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management / Hospitality Management from a recognised institution.
- Preferably 5+ years of relevant experience in Food & Beverage Service, hospitality operations and/or teaching.
- Candidates with experience in reputed luxury hotels, restaurants, clubs or cruise lines will be preferred.
- Strong practical knowledge of restaurant operations, banquets, bar operations and beverages.
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Should be comfortable conducting both classroom teaching and hands-on practical training.
- Must have the ability to mentor young students and develop their confidence, discipline and professional standards.

What We Are Looking ForWe are particularly interested in a seasoned hospitality professional who enjoys teaching and mentoring young people. The ideal candidate should be able to bring real industry practices into the classroom and prepare students for professional careers in hotels, restaurants, cruise lines and the wider hospitality industry. Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹40,000 per month, depending on qualification, industry experience and teaching experience.
