Reports To: Fire & Safety Manager / Safety Officer
Job Summary
Responsible for preventing and responding to fire emergencies, protecting people and property, operating firefighting equipment, and ensuring compliance with fire-safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Respond quickly to fire alarms and emergency situations.
Operate fire extinguishers, fire hydrants, hoses, pumps, and other firefighting equipment.
Conduct regular inspection of fire-fighting equipment and systems.
Assist with fire drills and emergency evacuation procedures.
Identify and report fire hazards and unsafe conditions.
Maintain fire-safety records and inspection checklists.
Assist in rescue and evacuation operations during emergencies.
Ensure fire exits, emergency routes, and fire equipment remain accessible.
Follow company safety policies and applicable fire-safety regulations.
Participate in routine training and emergency-response exercises.
Qualifications
10th/12th pass or equivalent, depending on organizational requirements.
Fireman/Fire & Safety certification preferred.
Physically fit and medically capable of performing emergency duties.
Basic knowledge of firefighting and first aid.
Prior experience in fire & safety is an advantage.
