ASME Authorized Inspector (AI)
nLocation: Chennai, Tamil Nadu | Travel to client sites may be required

We are seeking a highly skilled ASME Authorized Inspector to ensure boilers, pressure vessels, and piping systems meet the highest engineering and safety standards.

nKey Responsibilities:
n
n
Conduct shop and field inspections at critical stages of fabrication and assembly.n
Witness hydrostatic, pneumatic, and proof tests as well as non-destructive examinations (NDE).n
Ensure calibration and verification of inspection and test equipment.n
Maintain detailed ASME Inspector Diary documenting inspections, findings, and witnessing events.n
Verify materials, metallurgical traceability, and quality records comply with ASME BPV Code.n
Review and validate engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations against code requirements.n
Confirm WPS, PQR, and welder/operator qualifications,
ensuring repairs meet ASME standards.n
Identify, document, and report non-conforming conditions, ensuring corrective actions are completed.n
Ensure all ASME BPV Code requirements are met before applying the U-stamp, including proper nameplate and National Board registration marks.n
Participate in joint reviews with Certificate Holder and AI Supervisors.n

Proven experience in pressure vessel and boiler inspectionsn
Solid knowledge of ASME BPV Code and National Board regulationsn
Experience in third-party inspections and NDE methodsn
