Head Industrial Design

Location: Andheri West, Mumbai

Experience: 8 to12+ Years

We are looking for an experienced Head of Industrial Design to lead the design and development of electrical products, including switches, sockets, accessories, and related products.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the Industrial Design team and define product design direction.
Drive the complete design process from research and ideation to prototyping and production.
Develop cutting-edge, functional, ergonomic, and customer-focused product concepts.
Establish consistent design language, CMF, aesthetics, and product identity.
Collaborate with Engineering, R&D;, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Product teams.
Ensure DFM/DFA, manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and quality.
Guide materials, finishes, manufacturing processes, and tooling decisions.




Mentor the design team and drive innovation and design excellence.

Requirements
Bachelors/Master’s degree in Industrial/Product Design or related field.
8–12+ years of relevant Industrial/Product Design experience.
Experience in electrical products, consumer durables, appliances, or hardware preferred.
Solid skills in conceptualisation, sketching, visualisation, and product development.
Proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD software.
Robust knowledge of materials, manufacturing, prototyping, tooling, DFM/DFA, and ergonomics.
Proven experience in leading design teams and managing multiple projects.
