Key Responsibilities
Teach Indian Vocal Music to students across different age groups and grades.
Develop students’ knowledge of Swar, Taal, Raga, Alankar, basic notation, rhythm, and Indian musical traditions.
Plan and deliver engaging music lessons according to the school curriculum and students’ learning levels.
Train students for morning assemblies, annual functions, celebrations, competitions, concerts, and cultural events.
Prepare and conduct individual and group vocal music practices.
Identify students with musical talent and provide additional guidance and training.
Train students in patriotic songs, devotional songs, folk music, classical compositions, school songs, and event-specific performances.
Maintain discipline and ensure proper conduct during music classes and rehearsals.
Coordinate with teachers and activity coordinators for performances and school events.
Assist in selecting suitable songs, compositions, and musical arrangements for various occasions.
Maintain and take proper care of musical instruments and other music-room resources.
Keep records of students’ participation, progress,



and performance.
Encourage creativity, confidence, stage presence, teamwork, and appreciation of Indian cultural heritage.
Participate actively in school activities, celebrations, workshops, and co-curricular programmes.
Ensure a protected, positive, and inclusive learning workplace for students.
Perform any other academic or co-curricular responsibilities assigned by the school management.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Music (Vocal) from a recognised university/institution.
Relevant diploma or certification in Indian Classical Music will be an added advantage.
Robust knowledge of Indian Classical/Vocal Music.
Prior experience in a reputed school or educational institution preferred.
