Ophthalmology OT Technician

Position: OT Technician

Department: Ophthalmology – Operation Theatre

Key Responsibilities
Prepare the OT, surgical instruments, equipment and consumables before each procedure.
Assist surgeons and nursing staff during ophthalmic surgeries.
Handle and maintain ophthalmic surgical instruments and equipment.
Perform proper cleaning, disinfection and sterilization of instruments.
Prepare surgical trays and consumables according to the procedure.
Follow strict aseptic techniques and infection-control protocols.
Ensure availability of implants, medicines and OT consumables.
Maintain OT registers, surgery checklists and sterilization records.
Assist in patient preparation and protected transfer before and after surgery.
Coordinate with surgeons, nurses, CSSD, pharmacy and other departments.
Maintain OT readiness, hygiene and safety standards.
Follow hospital SOPs and quality standards.

Preferred Qualification

Diploma/B.Sc. in Operation Theatre Technology or equivalent.

Experience

Experience in Ophthalmology OT is preferred, especially in cataract and other eye surgeries.

Pay: ₹10,159.67 - ₹26,482.48 per month
