Duties and Responsibilities
- Analysing requirement and writing test cases.
- Assists test management to ensure the delivery of testing activities throughout the duration of a project until release.
- Performs and monitors daily tests, providing regular status reports as required.
- Work closely with the development teams to drive quality through design and implementation.
- To determine if the software performs accurately and reliably according to documented
- Requirements as well as established standards under both normal and abnormal conditions.
- Writing, developing, executing & verifying test cases.
- Writing and editing test scripts.
- Creating and maintaining test environments.
- Drafting test cases from the requirements of a product release.
- Ensure product quality at the end of a release cycle by understanding the product features.
- Be hands-on in generating exact and concise test plan/scenarios and test cases.
Requirements
Qualifications
- BE, MCA in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline from a reputed college or university.
- The candidate should be well versed in Manual Testing,
should have basic knowledge in automation testing.
- Clearly report test status with metrics, covering test development, execution and defects status.
- Ability to estimate and plan testing and create structured Test Plans and Test Reports.
- Should have exposure in conducting application testing (including all aspects like Black box, White Box, integration, regression, stress and other forms of testing) for each release cycle.
- Should have exposure towards different phases of testing systems integration, systems testing & user acceptance testing.
- Ability to quickly understand products/ systems/ architecture and propose tests and/or test strategies.
- Being able to learn and understand other industry standard applications (SAP, MS Sharepoint, IBM File net etc).
- Familiarity with defect tracking tools.
- Collaborate closely with the development teams in tracking and closing defects
- Responsible for creating and updating testing artifacts related to testing based on product modifications and changes in specifications.
- Excellent Understanding of Functional test methods, e.g. Positive/ Negative/ Boundary/Exploratory.
- Should have participated in the full life-cycle of a development project (from testing perspective), interacting with teams of developers and testers.
- Exposure to testing of enterprise applications like ERP, CRM, SSO authentication, DMS will be an additional plus.
