Role Purpose

To develop and execute the national trade marketing strategy for the Up-to-date Trade channel by driving category growth, customer marketing initiatives, shopper engagement, retail visibility, promotional excellence, and profitable business growth across key national retail accounts.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Trade Marketing
- Develop annual and quarterly trade marketing strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Build channel-wise activation plans to accelerate sales growth.
- Identify growth opportunities across Modern Trade customers.

Customer Marketing
- Develop customer-specific promotional calendars.
- Design joint business plans with key Modern Trade accounts.
- Execute impactful in-store campaigns and seasonal activations.

Category & Shopper Marketing
- Generate actionable shopper insights through market analysis.
- Drive category management initiatives and assortment optimization.
- Improve shelf visibility, display effectiveness and merchandising standards.
- Recommend planograms and visibility solutions.

Product Launch Management




- Lead trade launch plans for new products.
- Ensure strong retail visibility and execution across key accounts.
- Coordinate launch activities with Brand, Sales and Supply Chain teams.

Trade Promotions
- Design and evaluate consumer promotions and trade schemes.
- Track promotion effectiveness and ROI.
- Optimize promotional investments for profitable growth.

Retail Execution Excellence
- Ensure flawless execution of visibility programs.
- Monitor compliance on POSM deployment and merchandising standards.
- Conduct regular market visits to evaluate execution quality.

Business Analytics
- Monitor sales trends, category performance and customer-wise business.
- Prepare dashboards and performance reports.
- Recommend corrective actions based on business insights.

Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner with Brand Marketing, Sales, Finance, Supply Chain and Demand Planning.
