Role & Responsibilities
Drive primary and secondary sales in the assigned territory to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual targets.
Manage and strengthen the distributor and retailer network across the assigned market.
Develop and execute territory-wise sales plans based on market potential and business priorities.
Ensure effective beat planning, route coverage and outlet productivity through regular market visits.
Drive numeric distribution, product availability and SKU-wise sales growth across General Trade outlets.
Monitor distributor stock, inventory, order processing and market supply to ensure uninterrupted product availability.
Execute trade schemes, promotions, merchandising and visibility initiatives as per company guidelines.
Identify current business opportunities, expand outlet coverage and drive recent retailer/distributor acquisition.
Track competitor activities, pricing, schemes and market trends and provide actionable market intelligence.
Prepare and review sales MIS, target vs. achievement, forecasts and territory performance, and take corrective actions.





Preferred Candidate Profile
Graduate/MBA in Marketing, Sales or a related discipline from a recognised institution.
4 to 8 years of relevant experience in General Trade, preferably in FMCG, Consumer Durables or related industries.
Strong hands-on experience in primary and secondary sales management.
Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets consistently.
Solid experience in distributor, dealer and retailer management.
Valuable understanding of territory management, beat planning and market expansion.
Robust commercial orientation with an ability to analyse sales data, market trends and competitor activity.
Excellent negotiation, communication, relationship management and influencing skills.
Ability to work extensively in the field and manage multiple markets/outlets independently.
Should demonstrate ownership, execution discipline, problem-solving ability and strong team collaboration.
