Roles and Responsibilities

Infrastructure Administration
Manage Windows and Linux server environments (installation, configuration, tuning, and maintenance)
Ensure high availability and performance of production systems
Perform server patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management

Web &
Application Hosting
Manage IIS, NGINX, and Apache web servers
Host and troubleshoot applications built on:
.NET Framework / .NET Core
Java based applications (Tomcat/WebLogic if applicable)
Python applications (Flask/Django)
Ensure application uptime and performance optimization

Active Directory &
Identity Management
Manage Active Directory (AD), Group Policy Objects (GPOs)
Handle user authentication, permissions, and access control policies

Networking &
Security Coordination
Coordinate with firewall teams (Sophos or equivalent)
Manage DNS, SSL certificates, load balancing, and network configurations
Ensure secure infrastructure practices and system hardening

Monitoring, Backup &
DR
Implement and maintain monitoring tools (PRTG, Zabbix, Grafana, etc.)
Manage backup strategies and disaster recovery plans
Ensure compliance with RPO/RTO requirements
