The DESIM (D. E. Shaw Investment Management) group at D. E. Shaw & Co. is looking for an Associate/Member TechOps to join its Tech Operations team in Hyderabad. The team works closely with global counterparts to support a wide range of technology tools and financial datasets.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day technical operations and production support for business-critical systems.
Monitor, triage, troubleshoot and resolve production issues within defined timelines.
Review logs, analyze errors and debug issues across application, data and system layers.
Support software deployments, configuration changes and production releases with minimal business impact.
Take end-to-end ownership of incidents and coordinate with engineering, infrastructure, business users and external partners.
Collaborate with third-party data vendors during critical incidents and data-related issues.
Perform root cause analysis and document incidents, actions taken and resolutions.




Develop and maintain scripts to automate repetitive operational tasks and improve efficiency.
Leverage AI/LLM-assisted tools where appropriate to reduce manual operational effort.
Follow production support, incident management and operational best practices.
Prioritize multiple issues effectively in a energetic, business-critical setting.

Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in the finance/investment banking domain.
Experience supporting financial applications, datasets or business-critical systems.
Exposure to automation, monitoring and CI/CD tools.

Desired Profile of the Candidate: Candidates with strong technical troubleshooting and production support experience, hands-on programming/scripting skills, and exposure to Linux/Unix environments. Candidates from FinTech, Banking, Financial Services or Product-based organizations are preferred. Solid communication, analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
