Role & responsibilities
Serve food and beverages to patients, visitors, doctors, and hospital staff.
Take food orders and deliver meals accurately and on time.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of tables, trays, utensils, and service areas.
Follow hospital food-safety and sanitation procedures.
Handle patient meal requirements carefully, including special diets as instructed.
Collect used plates and trays and dispose of waste properly.
Coordinate with kitchen staff and nursing staff for meal distribution.
Provide polite and respectful service to patients and visitors.
Check that food trays contain the correct items before delivery.
Report any food, hygiene, or service issues to the supervisor.
