Key Responsibilities
Provide specialist consultation and management for patients with rheumatological and autoimmune disorders.
Independently assess patients, establish diagnoses and formulate appropriate treatment plans.
Manage both acute and chronic rheumatological conditions with evidence-based treatment.
Provide appropriate follow-up and continuity of care.
Participate in inpatient consultations, outpatient clinics and emergency services as assigned.
Coordinate care with Internal Medicine and other relevant specialties.
Ensure appropriate use of immunosuppressive and biologic therapies.
Monitor treatment response, adverse effects and disease-related complications.
Counsel patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment, prognosis, lifestyle modification and medication adherence.
Maintain qualified and ethical standards in all clinical interactions.
Participate in departmental clinical meetings, audits and quality-improvement initiatives.
