Vice President – Corporate Finance & Capital Strategy

Rajalakshmi Group is looking for an exceptional finance qualified to join us as Vice President – Corporate Finance & Capital Strategy.

This is not a traditional accounting or controllership role.

As we enter a significant phase of growth and investment across education, real estate, student living, hospitality and other businesses, we are looking for someone who can work closely with the leadership team on how we raise, structure, deploy and recycle capital.

The role will have significant exposure to senior leadership and will work across:
Debt and equity fundraising
Capital structure and financing strategy
Project and structured finance
Financial modelling and investment evaluation
M&A;, JVs and strategic transactions
Investor, lender and financial institution relationships
Evaluation of new projects and investment prospects
Capital allocation and portfolio-level financial strategy
Preparation of investment cases, financial models and transaction materials
Working with banks, funds, family offices, institutional investors and transaction advisors





Who are we looking for?

We are particularly interested in candidates with approximately 5–10 years of high-quality experience across one or more of:

Investment Banking | Private Equity | Private Credit | Transaction Advisory | Deals | Project Finance | Strategic/Corporate Finance An MBA/PGDM from a leading Indian or international business school is strongly preferred.

We are looking for someone who is commercially sharp, analytically exceptional and comfortable taking ownership — someone who enjoys understanding businesses, building financial cases, negotiating transactions and getting deals across the line.

This is an prospect for someone who wants to move beyond advising on individual transactions and participate directly in building and financing businesses at scale.

Location: Chennai For the right candidate, compensation will not be a constraint.
