Sewing Trainee

Job Purpose

To undergo practical training in sewing operations and develop the required skills to operate sewing machines safely and efficiently while meeting quality and production standards.
Key Responsibilities
Learn basic sewing operations and garment construction techniques.
Receive training on different types of sewing machines and their operations.
Follow instructions given by the Trainer, Team Leader and Supervisor.
Learn and practice standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Maintain required quality standards during sewing operations.
Achieve the assigned production targets after completing the training period.
Identify and report sewing defects to the Team Leader/Quality Checker.
Handle fabric and garments carefully to avoid damage.
Maintain proper workplace cleanliness and follow 5S practices.
Follow all safety rules and use machines safely.
Attend all training, skill development and awareness programs.
Support the sewing team as required and learn different operations through rotation.
Maintain discipline, punctuality and regular attendance.
Follow company policies, procedures and instructions.
Training & Development




Basic sewing machine operation.
Needle, thread and machine handling.
Stitching techniques and garment handling.
Quality requirements and defect identification.
Production methods and work standards.
Workplace safety and 5S.
Progressive skill development to become a skilled Sewing Operator.
Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
Training attendance and punctuality.
Skill improvement and learning progress.
Sewing quality and defect rate.
Production efficiency after training.
Compliance with safety and SOP requirements.
Workplace discipline and 5S adherence.
Educational Qualification

Minimum: 8th / 10th Pass
Freshers can be considered.
Experience

Experience: Fresher / 0–1 year
Prior garment or sewing experience is an advantage.
