We are looking for a Senior Power System Engineer who can independently lead and execute power system studies from modelling to final client report with minimum supervision. The ideal candidate is technically sharp, deadline-aware, and able to work directly with clients and utility stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Arc Flash Studies:
- Conduct Arc Flash Hazard Analysis per IEEE 1584:2018 / IEC 61482
- Calculate incident energy, arc flash boundary, and PPE categories
- Prepare arc flash labels and hazard reports
Protection Device Coordination:
- Develop relay coordination for overcurrent, differential, and distance protection
- Generate TCC curves and relay setting calculations
- Coordinate with relay manufacturers (SEL, ABB, Schneider, Siemens)
Transient Stability Studies:
- Model power system dynamics in PSS/E or PSCAD
- Analyse fault ride-through, voltage recovery, and frequency response
- Support grid connection studies for generation projects
Insulation Coordination Studies:
- Perform insulation coordination per IEC 60071-1 and 60071-2
- Determine LIWV,
SIWV, and protective margins for HV/EHV equipment
- Specify and validate surge arrester selection
Grid Code Compliance:
- Review projects against CEA Grid Code, IEGC, and state SLDC requirements
- Prepare compliance documentation and interconnection study packages
Client and Report Management:
- Write, review, and present study reports to clients and utilities
- Manage multiple study deliverables within project timelines
Team Mentorship:
- Review junior engineer work and guide modelling methodology
