Machine Setup & Tooling: Set up mechanical and hydraulic power press machines, align dies and tools accurately, and adjust stroke lengths or clearances based on project requirements.
Drawing Interpretation: Read and analyze engineering drawings, GD&T; symbols, and technical specification sheets.
Production Management: Plan and execute daily shift production goals, manage floor workers, and minimize machine downtime.
Quality Control: Inspect first-off and in-process parts using precision measuring tools (vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges) to verify dimensional accuracy.
Shop Floor Safety: Enforce strict safety protocols, proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and emergency stop checks on all presses.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot minor tool wear, feeding jams, or mechanical faults, coordinating with the maintenance team for major breakdowns.
