Job Summary:
The Safety Supervisor is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the
organization & safety programs to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs and policies in accordance
with regulatory requirements.
- Update and maintain safety manuals and documentation.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and hazard analyses.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health and safety regulations,
including OSHA standards.
- Stay updated on current and changing regulations and communicates these changes to
management and staff.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and contractors.
- Conduct orientation sessions for new hires and ongoing training for existing staff.
- Lead investigations of accidents, incidents,
and near-misses.
- Prepare detailed reports of findings and recommendations for preventing future
occurrences.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
- Conduct regular drills and training sessions to ensure preparedness.
- Perform regular safety audits and inspections of facilities, equipment, and processes.
- Identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, training, and inspections.
- Work closely with management, employees, and external agencies to promote a
culture of safety.
