DET IT is looking for a Senior Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) – AWS Cloud Engineer to join our IT Engineering organization.
This is a hands-on software engineering role focused on designing, developing, and operating scalable, cloud-native applications on AWS.



The ideal candidate has robust experience with AWS serverless technologies, Python development, APIs, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and cloud security.
The candidate should be comfortable owning solutions end-to-end—from architecture and coding through deployment and production support.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and operate scalable AWS cloud-native and serverless applications.
- Build production-grade AWS Lambda services using Python.
- Design solutions using Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, SQS, EventBridge, and CloudWatch.
- Develop REST APIs and event-driven integrations with enterprise systems.
- Build and maintain AWS CloudFormation templates using YAML.
- Develop AWS CodePipeline CI/CD pipelines integrated with GitHub.
- Implement secure AWS solutions using IAM roles/policies and least-privilege access.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and troubleshooting using CloudW
