Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in the Academic/Education market.
- Experience selling technology, software, engineering solutions, CAD, CAE, Simulation, PLM or related solutions will be preferred.
- Candidates with experience selling to Engineering Colleges, Universities and Research Institutions will be strongly preferred.
- Experience engaging with University Incubation Centres, Startup Ecosystems or Innovation Centres would be an added advantage.

Skills and Competencies
The candidate should have:
- Strong understanding of the Academic buying process.
- Experience engaging with Faculty, HODs, Deans and University leadership.
- Strong relationship-building and networking skills.
- Ability to conduct business and solution discussions with senior Academic stakeholders.
- Valuable presentation and communication skills.




- Strong prospecting and recent business development capability.
- Ability to independently plan and manage a large geographical territory.
- Experience in managing long and consultative sales cycles.
- Ability to identify opportunities beyond immediate software requirements, including Research, Centres of Excellence and Startup ecosystems.

Education
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Science, Technology or a related discipline preferred.
- An MBA or equivalent qualification would be an added advantage.

The candidate should preferably be based in one of the major South Indian cities
