Role Overview

As a DB2 Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the administration, maintenance,



monitoring and optimization of enterprise DB2 databases running on Linux.

You will support database health, performance, security, upgrades, backup and recovery, user access, incident resolution and automation initiatives across business-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain DB2 UDB databases on Linux.
- Monitor database health, availability and performance.
- Support DB2 upgrades, RHEL upgrades and application upgrades.
- Provide L3/L4 troubleshooting for complex database incidents.
- Manage database backup, recovery, security and user access.
- Perform database and SQL performance tuning.
- Manage storage and I/O performance issues.
- Support production and development DB2 environments.
- Use DB2 utilities including Reorg, Runstats, Rebind, Export, Import, Load, Backup, Restore and Recovery.
