Role Overview
nWe are seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong NPD Engineer to support new product design and development activities within an automotive parts manufacturing environment.
nThe role requires strong understanding of current product development methodology, understanding customer and industry specifications and work with product teams for new product development execution.
nThe ideal candidate should have prior experience in automotive manufacturing, or new product development processes in manufacturing
n# Key Responsibilities
n
- n
- End to end development of Leaf Spring, Chassis Components and Fabricated partsn
- Support New Product Development Activities including Design Validation, Prototyping, Testing and PPAP activitiesn
- Use CAD and CAE tools for part development and drawingsn
- Define Tooling requirements and Production route / processesn
- Co-ordinate and manage the projects with Customer teamsn




- Achieve new product introductions within time and budget commitments.n

n# Skills & Competencies Required

- n
- Strong understanding of New Product Development and Quality processes.n
- Experience with using CAD and CAE software toolsn
- Tooling development and process routing/developmentn
- Know how of tooling of fabricated components and press partsn
- Knowledge of FEA and MBD simulations preferredn

n# Educational Qualification
n- M.E. or B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering with strong academic track record
n# Preferred Experience
n
- n
- 3-5 years of experience in NPD, Process Engineering or Quality Engineering within automotive/manufacturing industryn
- Experience in design / development of leaf springs or steel fabricated partsn
