About the Opportunity
micro1 is engaging experienced Tax Advisors to contribute to a customer project focused on income tax preparation, filing, and advisory services. In this role, you will apply your professional tax expertise to help train next-generation AI systems.
Your work will help shape how AI models learn, reason, and respond to complex tax scenarios through accurate, high-quality, real-world input. No prior AI experience is required — your tax expertise and professional judgment are the primary focus.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze diverse real-world tax scenarios and provide accurate guidance consistent with IRS regulations and professional standards.
- Evaluate and annotate tax-related documents, workflows, and scenarios for AI training purposes.
- Develop and apply structured rubrics, best practices, and quality standards for tax-related outputs.




- Provide expert input on income tax preparation and filing for individuals and/or businesses.
- Identify complex tax situations, exceptions, and edge cases across federal and state tax matters.
- Evaluate AI-generated tax responses for accuracy, completeness, and appropriate application of tax rules.
- Recommend corrections and improvements to AI-generated outputs.
- Collaborate remotely with multidisciplinary professionals working on AI capabilities in the tax advisory domain.
- Document tax insights, reasoning, and feedback in a clear and structured manner.
- Support iterative improvement of AI systems through consistent evaluation and expert feedback.

Required Qualifications
- Active CPA license or Enrolled Agent (EA) credential — required.
- Demonstrated qualified expertise in income tax preparation and filing for individuals and/or businesses.
- Strong understanding of federal and state income tax regulations and filing requirements.
