OATH is a young, fast-moving watch brand — four collections, imports from three overseas vendors, a Shopify D2C store, marketplaces, COD remittances and a payment gateway all generating transactions every day. Right now that flow is managed by the founders. We need someone who owns the books end-to-end so the numbers are clean, current and audit-ready without anyone chasing them. This is a hands-on doer role, not a supervisory one.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
- Daily books. Record all sales, purchases, expenses, journals and bank entries in Tally Prime. Books closed to date, every week — not every quarter.
-
- Revenue reconciliation. Match Shopify and marketplace orders against payment gateway settlements, COD remittances from the logistics partner, refunds, RTOs and cancellations. Flag gaps and chase them to closure.
- Vendor & import accounting. Purchase entries, advances, customs duty, freight and forex differences on overseas vendor payments. Maintain a clean, ageing-aware payables ledger.
- Statutory compliance. Prepare GST workings and returns (GSTR-1, 3B, 2B reconciliation),
TDS deduction and deposit, e-invoicing and e-way bills. Coordinate with our CA and never miss a due date.
- Inventory books. Work with the operations team to keep stock records in Tally reconciled with physical and warehouse-system inventory.
- Monthly close & MIS inputs. Deliver a clean trial balance, expense schedules and bank reconciliations within five working days of month end, feeding the founder MIS.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- B.Com or equivalent;
CA Inter / CMA (part-qualified) is a plus, not a requirement.
- Genuine command of Tally Prime — you can create ledgers, pass adjustment entries and pull reports without hand-holding.
- Working knowledge of GST and TDS in practice, not just in theory.
- Comfortable in Excel: VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivots, and reconciling two files that do not agree.
- Exposure to e-commerce settlement files, Shopify, Unicommerce or import documentation is a solid advan
