About the Role
We are seeking an exceptional Gujarati Cuisine Chef to work for a high-profile private family residence in Colaba, Mumbai.
The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in authentic Gujarati vegetarian cuisine, with the ability to prepare traditional family recipes as well as refined, contemporary Gujarati dishes. The chef must demonstrate excellent hygiene, discretion, consistency, presentation, and the ability to maintain the highest standards expected in a prestigious private household.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare authentic and high-quality Gujarati vegetarian cuisine on a daily basis.
- Prepare traditional Gujarati dishes including Kathiyawadi, Surti, Jain and regional Gujarati specialties, as required.
- Prepare daily meals according to the family's preferences,



dietary requirements and instructions.
- Maintain consistency in taste, quality, portioning and presentation.
- Develop and maintain a variety of menus suitable for regular family meals and special occasions.
- Prepare festive and traditional Gujarati menus for celebrations and family functions.
- Be capable of preparing farshan, sweets, snacks, breads, accompaniments, pickles and traditional Gujarati delicacies.
- Understand and follow specific dietary requirements, including Jain food preparation where required.
- Source and select premium-quality fresh ingredients and maintain strong knowledge of seasonal produce.
- Coordinate with household staff and management regarding meal timings, menus and requirements.
- Maintain complete cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, equipment and food-preparation areas.
