About the Opportunity

(DICV) is offering a 1-year Graduate Apprentice Trainee (GAT) program in our Operations & Logistics function at our state-of-the-art Oragadam plant. This is a hands-on learning opportunity where you will work alongside experienced engineers on real plant operations.
nWhat You Will Do
nInstallation & Commissioning Support
n
- n
- Assist engineers and technicians during equipment installation, piping layout, and field activitiesn
- Observe and learn alignment, basic instrumentation checks, and mechanical assembly methodsn
- Help prepare tools, materials, and work areas before installation beginsn
- Support routine tasks during testing — pressure tests, leak checks, and basic measurementsn

nSafety & Compliance

- n
- Ensure PPE usage and follow safety guidelines during all field activitiesn
- Assist in setting up barricading, signage, and safe access pathsn




- Participate in toolbox talks to understand site hazards and safety proceduresn
- Report any unsafe condition to technician or engineer immediatelyn

nVendor & Team Coordination

- Assist technician in guiding contractor manpower for easy tasksn
- Support vendor teams in arranging work platforms, tools, and consumablesn
- Communicate basic updates to technician or engineer as requiredn

nDocumentation & Reporting

- n
- Help record daily material movement — pipes, fittings, toolsn
- Maintain simple checklists under supervisionn
- Record field observations, measurements, and simple inspection notesn
- Assist in updating as-built drawings by marking field changesn
- Maintain learning logs, training attendance, and skill development recordsn
