Role Description
1. Role Overview
Functional Software Quality Process Lead engineer responsible for defining, deploying, and institutionalizing enterprise-wide Software Quality frameworks and processes across connected ecosystems. Drives Built-in Quality by embedding quality into engineering lifecycle, ensuring predictable, scalable, secure and reliable software systems.



Acts as a high-impact individual contributor influencing global engineering teams and business units.
2. Key Responsibilities
• Define and institutionalize Software Quality Framework across devices, gateways, cloud, mobile and connectivity layers.
• Ensure end-to-end traceability across software–firmware–cloud–application systems.
• Drive risk-based engineering and quality decision frameworks for IoT systems.
• Embed Built-in Quality in SDLC aligned to Agile / SAFe / DevOps / V-models.
• Enable CI/CD quality gates, shift-left practices and defect prevention strategies.
• Address system constraints: resource limitations, scalability, network variability and backward compatibility.
• Establish proactive quality metrics and leading indicators.
• Build leadership dashboards enabling visibility and predictive risk management.
• Institutionalize RCA, CAPA and closed-loop improvement mechanisms.
