Core Responsibilities1. Financial Management & ControlsOversee the preparation and finalization of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards (IndAS / IFRS / Local GAAP).Monitor cash flow, optimize working capital cycles, and manage fund allocation across various engineering projects.Implement and strengthen rigorous internal financial controls (IFC) and standard operating procedures (SOPs).2. Taxation & Statutory ComplianceEnsure 100% accurate and timely compliance with all direct and indirect taxation (GST, TDS, Corporate Income Tax, Customs, etc.).Lead and manage statutory audits, internal audits, and tax assessments smoothly.Keep abreast of changing fiscal laws, assessing their impact on the engineering business.3. Project & Cost ControlPartner with project heads to review Project Costing, Variance Analysis, and Budget vs. Actual reports.Review contract terms, commercial bids, and vendor agreements to mitigate financial risks.Oversee inventory valuation, fixed asset management,
and depreciation accounting specific to plant and machinery.4. Team Leadership & CFO SupportMentor, guide, and evaluate the 3-member finance team to ensure high accuracy in day-to-day accounting functions (AP/AR, payroll, invoicing).Assist the CFO in preparing Board presentations, annual budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning.Candidate ProfileEducation & ExperienceQualifications:
Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) / CMA / MBA in Finance.Experience:
15+ years
of post-qualification experience, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial roleTechnical & Soft SkillsIndustry Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of project accounting, percentage-of-completion methods, and job costing.Systems:
Advanced proficiency in ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally Prime) and MS Excel.Leadership:
Proven track record of managing and upskilling small teams.
