Job DescriptionYMN Design Studio | Bengaluru We’re looking for a Senior Architect with a strong passion for commercial interiors and workplace design to join our growing design & build studio. We’re looking for someone who is design-driven, detail-oriented and technically strong — someone who can take a concept and translate it into a thoughtful, well-resolved interior. THE ROLE As a Senior Architect, you will be involved in the design development of commercial interior projects from concept through execution , working closely with the design team, clients, consultants and site teams. Your responsibilities will include:Developing design concepts and translating client requirements into strong design solutionsDeveloping space planning, layouts and design narratives for commercial/workplace environmentsPreparing and coordinating detailed 2D drawings and documentationDeveloping plans, reflected ceiling plans, flooring layouts, furniture layouts, elevations, sections and detailed drawingsPreparing joinery, partition, ceiling, flooring and other interior detailingTranslating design intent into technically viable construction detailsDeveloping material palettes, finishes and design specificationsPreparing presentations, mood boards and design proposalsCoordinating with MEP,



structural and other consultantsReviewing shop drawings and ensuring design intent is maintained during executionWorking closely with the site team to resolve design and detailing challengesMentoring junior architects/designers and contributing to the overall design direction of projects WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR 6+ years of relevant experience in architecture/interior design, an exposure to commercial interiors and workplace projects is appreciated but not mandatory . You should have:An enthusiasm for designStrong design sensibility and an ability to develop a concept from a briefExcellent 2D drafting and documentation skillsStrong command of AutoCAD and understanding of architectural/interior drawing standardsGood understanding of plans, elevations, sections, RCPs and construction detailsAbility to develop detailed drawings for execution, including joinery and interior detailsStrong understanding of materials, finishes and construction methodologyProficiency in SketchUp and relevant 3D/presentation softwareGood graphic presentation and communication skillsAbility to coordinate multiple aspects of a project while maintaining design qualityStrong attention to scale, proportion, detailing and functionality THE PERSON We’re looking for someone who is curious, creative and technically sound .
