WE ARE HIRING | Senior Accountant – Capital Markets & Investment Accounting

Position: Senior Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant with robust practical exposure to Capital Markets, Securities and Investment Accounting.

n

Key Eligibility Requirement

n

Candidates should have prior working experience with a Stock Broking Firm, Capital Markets Firm, PMS/AIF, Investment Company, Wealth Management Firm, Securities Firm, Family Office or similar financial-services organisation.

n

Candidates having only general accounting experience without practical exposure to securities or investment-related accounting may not be suitable for this position.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

- n
- Accounting and reconciliation of Equity, F&O; and other investment transactionsn
- Reconciliation of broker ledgers, contract notes, Demat/DP statements, trade data, bank transactions and investment holdingsn
- Accounting and reconciliation of futures MTM, option premiums, margins and derivative transactionsn
- Understanding and accounting of brokerage, STT, exchange transaction charges, GST, stamp duty, DP charges and other securities-related transaction costsn
- Calculation and reconciliation of realised and unrealised P&L;n
- Investment accounting including purchase/sale transactions, cost of investments, corporate actions and closing holdingsn
- Preparation and reconciliation of capital gains and securities transaction data for taxation and audit purposesn
- Bank reconciliation and monitoring of investment-related fund movementsn
- Handling TDS, GST, income-tax workings and other statutory compliancesn
- Preparation of MIS, schedules, ledgers and supporting data for audit and finalisation of accountsn




- Handling accounting and reconciliation across multiple companies/entities and individual investment accountsn
- Coordination with brokers, banks, auditors, consultants and other financial intermediariesn
- Independently identifying and resolving discrepancies between books of accounts, broker records, bank statements and investment holdings.n

Candidate Profile

n

- n
- B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / equivalent accounting qualificationn
- Relevant experience in Capital Markets / Securities / Investment Accountingn
- Strong understanding of Equity and F&O; transactionsn
- Practical knowledge of broker reconciliation, Demat/DP operations, settlement, margins and investment accountingn
- Strong accounting, taxation and reconciliation skillsn
- Good command of Excel and handling large financial transaction datan
- Ability to independently analyse and resolve reconciliation differencesn
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.n
