Job Summary:
The Staff Nurse is responsible for providing secure, compassionate, and quality nursing care to patients while maintaining professional standards, hospital policies, and infection-control practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Assess patients and monitor vital signs regularly.
- Provide medication and treatments as prescribed by doctors.
- Maintain accurate nursing records, charts, and patient documentation.
- Assist doctors during examinations, procedures, and emergency care.
- Perform nursing procedures according to hospital protocols.
- Monitor patients and promptly report any changes in condition to the doctor.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care.
- Maintain proper patient hygiene, comfort, nutrition, and safety.
- Perform dressing, catheter care, IV care, and other nursing procedures as required.
- Follow medication safety practices and verify medication orders before administration.
- Maintain proper handover between shifts.
- Follow infection-control, biomedical waste management,



and patient-safety protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper arrangement of the nursing station and patient-care areas.
- Communicate professionally with patients, attendants, doctors, and other healthcare staff.
- Respond effectively during emergency situations.
- Participate in hospital training, audits, quality initiatives, and other assigned activities.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Perform any other nursing duties assigned by the Nursing In-charge or Management.
