STAFF NURSE – IVF CENTRE

Job Summary

We are looking for a compassionate, skilled and responsible Staff Nurse to support patients throughout their IVF/fertility treatment journey and assist the medical and embryology team in providing safe, efficient and patient-centred care.

Key Responsibilities

1. Patient Care

- Receive and assess patients before procedures and consultations.
- Monitor vital signs and patient condition.
- Provide pre- and post-procedure nursing care.
- Explain basic treatment instructions and prepare patients for procedures.
- Provide emotional support and maintain patient confidentiality.

2. IVF Cycle Support

- Assist doctors during follicular monitoring, ovum pickup (OPU), embryo transfer and other fertility procedures.
- Prepare patients and procedure rooms.
- Administer prescribed medications and injections safely.
- Maintain accurate records of medications, investigations and treatment instructions.
- Educate patients regarding medication schedules and follow-up.

3. OT & Procedure Room Responsibilities

- Maintain strict aseptic and infection-control practices.
- Prepare instruments, equipment and consumables.
- Assist with sterilisation and maintenance of procedure-room standards.
- Check emergency equipment and medications regularly.

4. Patient Coordination

- Coordinate with doctors, embryologists, reception and counselling teams.
- Ensure patients understand appointments, investigations and treatment schedules.




- Follow up with patients as instructed by the IVF specialist.
- Handle patient queries professionally and escalate clinical concerns promptly.

5. Documentation & Safety

- Maintain complete and accurate nursing records.
- Ensure correct patient identification before medications and procedures.
- Follow medication safety protocols.
- Report adverse reactions, emergencies or abnormal findings immediately.
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient and treatment information.

Required Qualifications

- GNM / B.Sc. Nursing
- Valid nursing registration.
- Previous experience in IVF, fertility, gynaecology, OT or hospital nursing preferred.
- Good knowledge of infection control, injections, IV access and basic emergency care.

Preferred Experience

1–3 years of nursing experience, preferably in an IVF centre, fertility clinic, OT or gynaecology department.
