Job Summary
The Painter is responsible for painting, surface preparation, finishing, and maintenance of walls, ceilings, doors, furniture, metal surfaces, and other areas of the facility. The role ensures high-quality finishing while maintaining safety, cleanliness, and qualified standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out painting and touch-up work as instructed by the supervisor.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, filling cracks, and removing old or damaged paint.
- Apply primer, putty, paint, enamel, emulsion, and other coatings as required.
- Paint walls, ceilings, doors, windows, partitions, furniture, pipes, railings, and other surfaces.
- Perform interior and exterior painting works.
- Match paint colours and maintain consistent finishing.
- Repair minor cracks, holes, and surface imperfections before painting.
- Use brushes, rollers, spray equipment, scrapers, sanders, and other painting tools safely.
- Protect furniture, flooring, equipment, and surrounding areas from paint damage.
- Carry out periodic inspection and touch-up of painted surfaces.
- Maintain proper storage and handling of paints, thinners, solvents, and other materials.
- Ensure work areas are kept clean and free from paint spills and debris.
- Follow all health, safety, fire-safety, and environmental procedures.
- Use appropriate PPE such as safety shoes, gloves, goggles, masks, and safety harnesses where required.
- Report damaged surfaces, material requirements, and major repair needs to the supervisor.
- Coordinate with civil, carpentry, electrical, and other maintenance teams when required.
- Complete assigned painting work within the required time and quality standards.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of painting techniques and surface preparation.
- Knowledge of different types of paints, primers, putty, and coatings.
- Ability to mix and match paint colors.
- Good finishing and attention to detail.
- Ability to use painting tools and equipment safely.
- Basic knowledge of working at heights and related safety precautions.
- Good teamwork, discipline, and time management.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month

Education:
- Secondary(10th Pass) (Preferred)
Experience:
