About the Position
We are looking for a disciplined, sincere and career-oriented Advocate to join our litigation practice as an Junior Advocate.
The office handles a wide variety of litigation and legal matters, including Banking & Financial Litigation, Arbitration, NCLT, NCLAT, High Court matters, DRT proceedings, Family Matters, Divorce Matters and other civil and commercial disputes.
The position offers an opportunity for a suitable candidate to gain practical exposure across various branches of law, including court appearances, drafting, legal research, filing and procedural compliances.
Key Responsibilities
The Associate Advocate will be responsible for:
- Appearing before various Courts and Tribunals and assisting in the conduct of matters.
- Drafting petitions, applications, replies, written statements, rejoinders, affidavits, legal notices and other legal documents.
- Conducting legal research and preparing case laws and briefs for ongoing matters.
- Handling e-filing, physical filing and court-related compliances, including timely filing of documents and affidavits.
- Maintaining and updating the Case Diary, tracking dates, orders and deadlines, and ensuring necessary compliances.
- Downloading and reviewing orders,
judgments and other court documents and maintaining the relevant case files.
- Assisting in preparation for hearings, including case briefs, document compilations and research.
- Visiting Courts and Tribunals for filing, mentioning, obtaining documents and other professional work.
- Coordinating with clients regarding case updates, documents, payments and other requirements, as instructed.
- Maintaining physical and electronic case records and assisting with necessary scanning, printing and documentation work.
- Performing such other legal, administrative and office-related work as may reasonably be assigned in connection with the functioning of the office.
Requirements
- 0–3 years of experience in litigation.
- Candidates must possess a valid LL.B. degree and be enrolled with the Bar Council.
- Good command over English, particularly legal drafting and comprehension.
- Strong legal research and drafting skills.
- Basic to good working knowledge of computers, MS Word, PDF , scanning, printing and online court portals.
- Ability to independently manage assigned tasks and meet filing/compliance deadlines.
- Willingness to appear before different Courts and Tribunals in Delhi.
- Candidate should be disciplined, punctual, sincere and willing to learn.
- Prior experience in a litigation chamber/law firm will be preferred.
Job Types: Full time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
